WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HAND-ROLLED AND SPRAYED MOONROCKS? THC-O FLOWER VS MOONROCKS?

There are both physical and effect differences between our hand-rolled moonrocks, sprayed moonrocks, and our THC-O flower. THC-O flower contains the lowest amount of THC-O and kief between the three. Sprayed Moonrocks is in the middle with approx 3x the amount of THC-O distillate and kief as compared to THC-O flower.

Our Handrolled Moonrocks are the most potent and heavily covered of the three options and have about 6x as much THC-O distillate and kief as the sprayed moonrocks.

Visually the sprayed flower still shows the plant material of the flower and is dusted with kief versus fully coated. With sprayed Moonrocks, we completely coat the flower in THC-O distillate and kief. When you cut open sprayed Moonrocks you won’t see a ring of distillate around the outer edge of the flower under the kief.

With hand-rolled Moonrocks, you have a smooth service of kief on the outside and the flower’s natural shape has been smoothed out in the process of rolling it in the distillate. Cutting open most hand-rolled Moonrocks you will typically see a thick ring of distillate surrounding the flower, however, OUR hand-rolled Moonrocks are more than most and have distillate almost all the way through the flower.

These multi-colored buds range from dark green to deep blue and are of medium size. Silver trichomes adorn these thick and robust buds, glinting elegantly in the light. You will find these buds mildly sticky when you pick them up but they separate beautifully as you prepare them for a grind.

CONSUMING MOON ROCKS

Here are some guidelines to follow that can make your experience with our Moon Rocks a success from the very beginning:

• Glass pipes or bongs are your best gear for THC-O Moon Rocks
• Pack your THC-O Moon Rocks loosely in your bowl and away from the mouthpiece to allow for sufficient airflow when drawing
• Consider laying a shallow bed of freshly-ground hemp flower at the base of your bowl before adding your THC-O Moon Rocks; this allows for more complete combustion of the THC-O Moon Rocks
• Clean your bowl after every session, as THC-O Moon Rocks are sticky with both distillate and CBD oils; swabbing with isopropyl alcohol will cleanly remove the stickiness, making your next session just as pure, potent, and delicious as your last one

THE THC-O TREATMENT PROCESS

When it comes to effective treatment of our premium hemp flower strains with a distillate of THC-O, we quickly learned that the most efficient and thorough treatment can be attained through a cold infusion process. As the name “cold infusion” implies, we freeze the THC-O distillate until it is completely solid. We then pulverize the frozen THC-O distillate into a powder and toss it into a container with buds from the chosen hemp flower strain. This is then vigorously agitated so that the powdered THC-O distillate evenly coats the entire flower, all the way down to the stem.

This approach results in a thorough coating of the THC-O distillate throughout the treated plant matter. More significantly, the end result of the cold infusion treatment process is a purer and truer blending of the THC-O compound with the cannabinoids contained in the hemp flower strain, all performed without the use of any solvents. 

THC-O MADE CLOSER TO CANNABIS

THC-O is a nearly isolated compound with typically less than 5-10% other compounds left in the distillate.

As the industry has matured one lesson prevails, isolates are not the most therapeutic; fuller spectrums that stay as close to the plant’s natural composition as possible make premium products with higher therapeutic potential.
